  • 8/6 days only roster | FIFO from Perth to the Mt Webber Mine
  • Base + FIFO Allowances + Super + Bonuses

About the role:

The NPI Maintenance team is currently seeking an experienced Maintainer Plumber to join them on an 8/6 | Days only roster based at our Mt Webber Mine. Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance, you will be responsible to provide preventative and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and installation of all plumbing systems primarily associated with non-process and de-watering infrastructure across all Contract Mining operational sites in the Pilbara.

Duties:

  • Maintenance, servicing, repairs and installation of all plumbing systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP), site buildings and camp buildings primarily associated with non-process infrastructure.
  • Installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing of all de-watering infrastructure across all Atlas Iron operational sites.
  • Ensure timely safe completion of work requests and other works scheduled by your supervisor. 
  • Participate in the weekly planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment to resources in the work schedule. 
  • Monitor personal performance against schedule and KPI’s. 
  • Manage contractor performance to the required standards and specifications for the work being completed. 
  • Conduct works and maintain performance to ensure that all work is completed to the correct standard.
  • Creation and completion of MEX work orders to ensure end-to-end process compliance and history of asset works is recorded. 
  • Assess and recommend plant, tool, equipment, and material initiatives with a focus on cost effective solutions and operational improvements.
  • Supervise contractors as required including but not limited to, Pre-starts, SWP’s, hazard reports, toolboxes. 
  • Identify cost saving initiatives in the field and raise with supervisor to assess feasibility.
  • Provide a continuous improvement approach with the desire to establish a legacy of best practice systems, processes, and procedures. 
  • Ensure stock take of critical infrastructure spares is performed regularly and required parts are available. 
  • Evaluate optimal work practices to foster ongoing improvements in productivity.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks and duties as directed by your Supervisor.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ trade experience within the Mining Industry.
  • Trade Certificate in Plumbing and Gas Fitting. 
  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations is desirable.
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities and knowledge of relevant drinking water regulations and risk management processes.
  • Proven experience within remote mining environments.
  • Knowledge in dewatering infrastructure maintenance and operation. 
  • Basic Microsoft office skills, namely Word and Excel
  • Physically fit to work in hot/dry conditions. 
  • Hold a current C drivers’ licence. MR/HR highly desirable.
  • High Risk licences highly desirable (Forklift, W@H’s, Hiab, Confined space).
